Counselling
Counselling is an individual therapy which often requires about 8-20 sessions however, depending on the issues, some work may become long term.
Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy is usually more frequent and longer than counselling. Clients can be seen up to twice weekly. It is underpinned by a strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship.
Group Therapy
Our Group Therapy is a rolling programme of 8-10 sessions. There will only be a maximum of 8 clients in any group. Groups can be a more economical way of receiving therapy, giving clients the opportunity to identify and support each other whilst being educated and supported by a trained therapist.
Addictions programme
The addictions programme is a rolling programme; we take an eclectic approach to suit the client’s needs. Addiction group therapy will have a maximum of 8 clients who are experiencing any type of issues around addictive behaviours, i.e. drugs, alcohol, gambling, food, self-harming etc.
The aim of the group is to address the underlying issues, by education, presentations, workshops, group therapy, listening and identifying with other members of the group. This is an abstinence-based programme and we use the Minnesota model of 12 Step Anonymous meetings.
Family support and aftercare is included in the price of this treatment. We recognise that addictive behaviour is a symptom of an underlying problem. Whilst the client is having treatment, we also offer other alternative therapies, including acupuncture, massage and reflexology, as this may help with any feelings of anxiety. The programme is run over a 7-day week lasting up to 6 weeks and we recommend that clients attend at least 5 days per week to receive optimum benefits of the programme.
Family Therapy
Family therapy provides 8-10 weekly sessions of systemic counselling for families who are experiencing difficulties. It allows families to come together to explore their issues and their feelings. The therapist will create a safe space with set boundaries for this to happen.

Helping clients to explore and resolve resistance and ambivalence. It is goal directed and focused on a task.
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)
NLP is a type of therapy which its basic importance is that words we use reflect an inner, subconscious perception of our problems. If these words are inaccurate, then the underlying problem will remain for as
long as we continue to use them and to think them.
The neuro-linguistic therapist will analyse each word and phrase you use in describing your symptoms or concerns about your health, as well as observing your facial expressions and body movements.
The therapist will then determine problems in your perception so as to help you understand the root cause. The therapist will help you remodel you thoughts and mental associations in order to fix preconceived notions.
